Continuing Ed on Lutheran Preaching July 22-24, 2025 in Ventura, IA

Join us at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ventura, IA for a CTSFW continuing education course on Lutheran Preaching taught by Rev. David Petersen. The class we will walk through Johann Gerhard's methodology for preaching as well as that of early Missouri, paying special attention to Reinhold Pieper’s Lutheran Preaching. We will compare this to classical rhetorical training as encapsulated in Cicero. Finally, we will walk through some of Luther's and Walther's preaching to see how they fit this same pattern. The class meets from 9am-12:00pm Tues, Wed, and Thurs.
