Training Videos & Educational Resources
Our educational resources begin with the video “The Form of the Divine Service,” which is a training video of an actual mass held in 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, Illinois, with a voice over of instructions for celebrant, deacon, and sub-deacon in a complete Divine Service. For instruction on how to conduct the Divine Service in a small congregational setting, our latest video with Rev. Dr. Burnell Eckardt at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kewanee, IL, shows a service with a celebrant, sub-deacon, and one server. The third video in our introductory series details proper altar guild procedures after the Mass with Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Burnell F. Eckardt Jr. of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kewanee, IL.
Liturgy Seminar – Part 1
The online liturgy seminar begins with lectures by Fr. Eckardt at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kewanee, Illinois, in 2021, on the meaning of the liturgy of the Divine Service.
Liturgy Seminar – Part 2
The second part of the online liturgy seminar is a series of lectures by Fr. Petersen describing and demonstrating, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2018, on how to conduct the liturgy of the Divine Service with a single pastor at a free-standing altar. The first video is a more condensed explanation as a single video. The remaining videos are more extensive, divided into several sections.
