Out of the barn!
Of course it’s not the sound of a rushing mighty wind that you’re hearing—that sound was the sound of the Spirit on Pentecost, which sound very soon became words, the words of the Holy Gospel they all began to preach in the various languages of the world—but this is the sound, as it were, of a horse’s hooves, and that stead would be none other than the Gottesdienst stallion (the Gottes-Pferd, perhaps?) rushing past the gates, having been let out of the barn, toward a mailbox near you, all you blessed subscribers to the Journal of Lutheran Liturgy. The Trinity issue, already forecast for several days on our homepage, is on its way. Haven’t subscribed yet? Do so now! It’s in the mail! Because it’s another winner, of course.
