Lutheran Pastor and Wife in Need

The Rev. Joe Arthur (pastor of Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Bogalusa, Louisiana) and his wife Sarah have suffered a terrible loss of their home by fire. Fortunately, no-one was hurt. Sarah started a Facebook fundraiser to help. Please prayerfully consider sharing your blessings with the Arthurs.

Here is the link.

Sarah writes:

A tree limb, a strong north wind, and an old house electrical system combined to create such a fire in our house that it took 3 fire trucks 5 hours to put it out last Saturday. Some have asked if there was a way to help us financially at this time, so I have set up a couple ways to donate, if you would like to help in this way. We ask ever for your prayers at this time, as we sift through what is left. All people and pets were safe, as we were staying at our apartment 45 minutes away from the blaze. We were in the process of renovating the house, so it was a lot of tools and things we were going to use to put things back and decorate in the future, some clothes and things, as we were staying there before and after church most weeks.

Lord, have mercy. Amen.
