We Have Found the One!

And he’s not even from Texas!

The Jesus First, Ablaze, Missional, Leadership, Hope & Change, Best Practices, Congregations Matter™, Anti-Harrison candidate has finally emerged from the tohuwabohu of Moderate Missouri.

It is the Rev. Dr. Pat Ferry. He is the one!

He even self-identifies as a “Presidential Candidate for The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod” on his official campaign facebook page (listed as a “church”) which began in November (which is appropriate for political activism).

He also has a campaign website which pops up if you Google “Pat Ferry for President.” It claims to have been published by the “Friends of Pat Ferry.” All that’s missing is a video that says, “I’m Pat Ferry, and I approve this message.” It’s now 2023, and the political season is here. Things should get interesting over the next few months. Congregations Matter has hopefully given the Pak-n-Ship in Naples, Florida a heads up.

It’s go-time!

If you’re inclined to play the “drinking game” or fill out the Bingo Card, have a look at his campaign site…

Charlie Mueller has just gotten a chill down his spine, and he’s not sure why!

Drinking game players, you know what to do!

This video (“Should the LCMS Change? With Pat Ferry - Lead Time”) is worth watching (though bumping the speed up to 1.5 is recommended). And to play a video version of the drinking game, cue this YouTube up and make use of the words lead, leader, leaders, leading, and leadership. Hand off your keys and check with your physician before playing. Bonus words: culture, vision, and shrinkage. Funniest expression in the video: “LCMS Presidential conversation.”

And for a laugh, go toward the end at about 1:03:20 and watch for about thirty seconds, paying attention to faces and body language when they talk about President Harrison.

No cassocks or copes or purple clericals for our Neo…

“I’m Pat Ferry, and I approve this message!”
