New Bloggers!

Gottesdienst is pleased to add three new bloggers to Gottesblog.

Rev. Fr. Travis Berg, MDiv, pictured at the top, is Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer, IA. He is a 2013 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has served at St. Paul’s since then.

Rev. Fr. Stefan Gramenz, MDiv, on the left side, is Pastor of The Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Pawling, NY. He is a 2018 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has served at Christ the King since then.

Rev. Fr. Adam Koontz, PhD, at the right on the bottom of the picture, is Assistant Professor of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. He is a 2014 graduate of the same institution, and received a PhD from Temple University in May 2020. He previously served as pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

This brings our total of bloggers to seven, along with our ten editors, who also blog. That comes to a total of seventeen on our staff who generally produce a blog post at least once a month. Brief bios of our entire editorial staff are available here.

Our goal is, as ever, to foster confessional and liturgical integrity. We propose that the historic Divine Service of the Western Christian Church is more than Christian antiquity. It is a theological treasure which is most fitting for today’s Christian Church. Our slogan Leitourgiae propria adiaphoria non est (lit., “Indifference is not characteristic of the liturgy”) reflects this conviction.

And now, with the addition of Revs. Berg, Gramenz, and Koontz, we look forward to pushing even more energetically toward our goal.

Onward, Gottesdienst!
